Teriyaki Chicken Breasts

Teriyaki chicken breasts perfect for sandwiches or next to potato salad or coleslaw. Chicken breasts are marinated in homemade teriyaki sauce, and grilled over direct heat.
Ingredients -
1/3 cup Soy Sauce
1/2 cup Water
2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Ground Ginger
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 pound Skinless, Boneless Chicken Breasts
 
Preparation:

1. Combine first 5 ingredients in shallow bowl.

2. Add chicken to marinade. Toss to coat.

3. Refrigerate 2 hours.

4. Remove chicken from marinade, and discard marinade.

Grilling:
1. Preheat barbecue to medium heat.

2. Place chicken on grill over direct heat.

3. Close grill lid and cook 5 minutes. Turn chicken and grill 5 additional minutes.

 



Cooking Tip
Teriyaki and Barbecue Sauce
Teriyaki and barbecue sauces have high sugar content and will burn quickly over heated coals. If you will be basting with sauces wait until the meat, especially beef and pork has had a chance to fully cook before basting.
