Sweet And Spicy Barbecued Brisket

Seasoned beef brisket marinated in a mixture of brown sugar, salsa, and Worcestershire sauce. Baked in a low heat oven until tender.
Ingredients -
4 pound Trimmed Beef Brisket
Salt And Pepper
1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
2 cups Chipotle Chunky Salsa
1/2 cup packed Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Worcestershire Sauce
Sandwich Rolls
 
Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 300 F.

2. Season beef briskets with salt, pepper, and garlic.

3. Place in shallow baking dish.

4. In small bowl, combine salsa, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and brush on brisket.

5. Cover baking dish with foil and refrigerate overnight.

6. Bake covered, 5 hours, or until tender.

7. Remove brisket from oven allow brisket to rest 15 minutes.

8. Slice or shred brisket and serve with juices on rolls.

Dry rubs are a mixture of herbs and/or spices, generally applied to meats prior to grilling. Rubs are applied immediately prior to grilling. In the event you really want to intensify the flavors, apply rubs at least 4 hours ahead of cooking time.
