Baked Beans Ole

Baked beans Mexican style.
Ingredients -
1 (3 pound 5 ounces) can Pork and Beans
1/4 cup firmly packed Brown Sugar
1/4 cup chopped Parsley
1 (4 ounces) can Diced Green Chilies
1 pound Kielbasa, sliced
1/2 teaspoon Chili Powder
1/4 teaspoon Ground Cumin
16 corn or Flour Tortillas
1 (3 ounces) can French Fried Onions
 
Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

2. In large bowl, combine pork and beans, brown sugar, chopped parsley, diced green chilies, kielbasa slices, chili powder, and ground cumin.

3. Stir to combine.

4. Spoon into large casserole dish.

5. Bake, uncovered, 35-40 minutes. Stir a few times during cooking.

6. Dampen tortillas with water. Pile into two stacks of eight tortillas.

7. Wrap tortilla stacks in foil.

8. Place tortillas in oven during last 15 minutes of baked beans baking.

9. Remove baked beans from oven. Sprinkle French fried onions over top. Bake 5 additional minutes.

10. To serve, spoon baked bean mixture into each tortilla.

Cheese
Remove cheese from refrigeration and allow cooling to room temperature before cutting and serving. Both the taste and texture of the cheese will benefit from the change in temperature.
